Upcoming 2012 Cars BMW 1 Series Preview with specification and prices
A definite release date has not been announced for the Upcoming 2012 Cars BMW 1 Series as of yet. However, rumors are swirling around that the car will go into production during the second quarter of 2011. In that case, a fall release can be expected.
It is too soon to know whether or not any major changes will be made to the body style of the Upcoming 2012 Cars BMW 1 Series. Reportedly, BMW will fix the sagging side of the car to make it more streamlined and attractive. The hatchback version, which will debut in Europe, will boast a wider track and a longer wheelbase. The modular/expendable platform will be used for three- and five-door versions of the BMW 1 Series. Its overall shape, however, should remain unchanged.
BMW has sold more than 200,000 copies of its five-door 1-series, and the long-awaited three-door is now making its debut at the 2007 Geneva Auto Salon. The 2008 1-series is being shown with not only a new door configuration, but also a facelifted design, and a new generation of four-cylinder engines.
With the best steering feel of any BMW offering, and an available 255-hp 3.0-liter inline-six, the rear-wheel drive 1-series is a clear winner for enthusiasts.
